Welcome to the Department of Physics at Kyambogo University, a centre of excellence in producing world-class educators, researchers, and innovators in the fields of theoretical and applied physics.
About the Department
The Department of Physics is one of the oldest departments in the Faculty of Science. It has been offering degree programmes in Physics since 1993 upon the establishment of the Institute of Teacher Education Kyambogo (ITEK). Before 2003, when Kyambogo University was formed, the department was offering two undergraduate physics programmes: Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Science with Education. Currently, the department offers five programmes: Diploma in Science Technology Physics, Bachelor of Science Technology Physics, Bachelor of Science with Education, Master of Science in Physics and Doctor of Philosophy in Physics.
